Terms and Conditions of use

The terms and conditions of use constitute a legal agreement between you and the State Government of Victoria to the use of this web site. Please read this agreement in its entirety before you continue to use this web site, order products or download any logo or image.

In using this web site, including but not limited to checking the agreement box when ordering products, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions. If you do not accept these terms and conditions, you must refrain from using the web site.

Agreement to these terms and conditions will result in the granting of a one-off non-exclusive right to use the selected logos and images for the permitted purpose as approved by the State Government of Victoria.

The State Government of Victoria reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions from time to time. Amendments will be effective immediately upon notification on this web site. Your continued use of the web site following such notification will represent an agreement by you to be bound by the terms and conditions as amended.

The State Government of Victoria also reserves the right to take action against any use that does not conform to these terms and conditions. These terms and conditions are governed by the laws in force in Victoria.

Copyright in this web site (including Melbourne and Victoria logos, text, graphics, logos, icons, sound recordings, video clips and software) (Content) is owned by the State Government of Victoria unless otherwise noted in the description of the material. For the protection of the State Government of Victoria and its Content providers, images and logos may be watermarked.

Except as expressly authorised by these terms and conditions (see "Conditions of use of logos" below) and other than for the purposes of, and subject to the conditions prescribed under, the Copyright Act 1968 (Cth) and similar legislation that applies in your location, you may not in any form or by any means:

  1. adapt, reproduce, store (including download), distribute, print, display, perform, publish or create derivative works from any part of this web site; or
  2. commercialise any information, products or services obtained from any part of this web site,
without the written permission of the State Government of Victoria.

You must adhere to any copyright restrictions or other notices that appear on images or files you wish to download or print.

Conditions of use of Melbourne and Victoria logos
  1. All material supplied through this site is owned by the State Government of Victoria or its respective partners and cannot be on sold to third parties.
  2. The State Government of Victoria provides the logos and images on the basis of a one-off, non-exclusive right.
  3. All usage requirements must be adhered to. Any misuse of logos or images will result in a breach of copyright.
  4. Material supplied must only be used to promote Melbourne and/or Victoria ("Approved Purpose").
  5. All material must be used for the Approved Purpose only.

Correct usage of the Melbourne and Victoria logos is integral to developing and maintaining a consistent brand image and message about Melbourne and Victoria. All instances of use of the Melbourne and Victoria logos must conform to the graphic standards guidelines provided below.

  1. Notwithstanding any other conditions, when using the Melbourne and Victoria logos in your web site:
    1. The Melbourne and Victoria logos must not be animated or altered in any way, except as otherwise agreed to by the State Government of Victoria.
    2. The colour, colour depth, design or font of the Melbourne and Victoria logos must not be changed.
    3. The Melbourne and Victoria logos must not be taken apart, changed in proportion, combined with any other words or graphics, or otherwise altered from the version provided by the State Government of Victoria.
    4. The minimum size (non-white area of the image) of the Melbourne and Victoria logos is 87 pixels wide and 30 pixels in height. The logo may be displayed at a larger size only if all the elements of the logo are increased in size proportionately.
    5. Your marketing materials may only display the Melbourne and Victoria logos in a positive manner as determined by the State Government of Victoria. The Melbourne and Victoria logos must not be used to display Melbourne and Victoria in a negative way or in any way that could reflect adversely on the State Government of Victoria, or the State of Victoria itself.
  2. The Melbourne and Victoria logos must be used as provided by the State Government of Victoria and is restricted to use for the Approved Purpose only.
  3. Future editions or projects regarding the Melbourne and Victoria logos will require further application to the State Government of Victoria.
  4. The Melbourne and Victoria logos must not to be used for any other purpose without the specific written approval of the State Government of Victoria
  5. Except as expressly authorised by the State Government of Victoria, the appearance of the Melbourne and Victoria logos for the Approved Purpose must not be used in any manner whatsoever to infer that the State Government of Victoria has any administrative, financial or marketing obligations in relation to the said item or organisation.
  6. A sample of the proposed use of the Melbourne and Victoria logos must be forwarded to the State Government of Victoria for approval prior to use. Please forward artwork to brandvictoria@diird.vic.gov.au
Fees

All logos and images on this site are provided to approved clients free of charge. In some instances, it may be necessary for the State Government of Victoria to charge nominal fees to clients to recover operating costs.

The State Government of Victoria, through the Manager of Visual Services, retains the right to waive any fees.

All figures/prices quoted prior to confirmation of an order of products are in Australian dollars (unless otherwise stated) and do not include goods and services tax (GST), delivery, handling or insurance. GST, delivery, handling and insurance will be calculated at the confirmation of the order and shall be itemised in accordance with GST law.
